Gorgeously Designed Book of Poems by Rumi

This was my favorite volume of poetry in high school. I had read one of Baudelaire’s poems in my 10th grade honors English class, and when I saw an entire collection of his poems at Barnes & Noble one night I just had to buy it. At the time I was not supposed to be spending any money on books, but I went ahead and bought the book. I snuck it into the house and then for a very long time I kept it hidden under the clothes in my dresser. I would wait till everybody had gone to bed and sit by the dim light and read Baudelaire’s poetry.

“The Dream Songs” is a book of poetry I bought for a college class. Before the semester even got going, I drove into it and read the book.

This volume was my introduction to Icelandic poetry. Soulful, cool, in touch with the land.

One of my favorite books of poetry. The persona poems in this book come from so many perspectives.

This fascinating book offers insight into the dark history of ballet, and the beauty and challenges of ballet today.

As a firm believer in gender roles, the God-designed differences between men and women, and submission, I found this book to be one that really hit home. It spelled out cogent arguments for what I already believed, and it brought to my attention fresh ideas about the roles of the sexes in light of scripture. I have found that living out God’s designed role for me makes my life and my marriage better for me. I highly recommend this book, especially for Christian feminists. It presents clear rebuttals to that ideology.

You must read this book! It is unique and filled with great imagery and sylph like ideas.

This book of poetry is breathtaking. It drew me in, entered me, expanded my thoughts.
